A cornerstone of East Village history, 66 2nd Avenue was once the Public Theatre and later the Anderson Theatre, hosting legendary rock performances. It also briefly became CBGB’s Second Avenue Theatre, contributing to the birth of New York’s punk scene. Today, its preserved façade stands as a significant landmark, reflecting its rich cultural legacy.
